Kawah Putih Bandung tourism object is located in the south Bandung area. Kawah Putih itself is a crater former eruption of Mount Patuha around the 10th century.
At first, the Kawah Putih area was known as a haunted area by the local community. But a Dutch expert, Dr. Franz Wilhelm Junghuhn, in 1837 investigated this place and found a beautiful Kawah Putih.
Since then the Kawah Putih area began to be known. Beginning in 1087, this area was managed by the government as a Ciwidey Kawah Putih Tourist Site of Bandung.
Kawah Putih is located in the southern Bandung area, after Ciwidey. Located about 50 KM from downtown Bandung.
The way to the Kawah Putih is quite easy, and there are many signs to get here. If from Jakarta, you can simply enter the Cipularang toll road and exit at the Kopo toll gate. From there turn right toward the south afternoon – ciwidey – ciwidey.
If using public transportation, you can use transportation from the Long Leuwi Terminal – Ciwidey Terminal, then connect with Ciwidey Terminal Angkot – situ patenggang, and stop right at the entrance of the Kawah Putih.
Currently, tour and motorbike bus users are required to park in the lower parking area and head to the location of the crater by using a special ontang-anting capacity of 12 people.
This transport specifically transports visitors from the parking lot down to the crater area. If you use a private car, you can directly park in the upper parking area but must pay a lot more expensive (IDR 150,000, car park under IDR 6000).
Using ontang-anting is also fun, giving another atmosphere when you go up to the location. If you come in a group, you can just choose the type of ontang-anting that are better at the same price.
